This website is where I output all of my latest projects and accomplishments to share with the world. I began development on this site starting around August of 2014, and officially released it to the public on March 1, 2015. Until this day, it is the biggest ongoing project I have ever done.

About This Site

darryl-yeo.com runs on WordPress, running a heavily customized version of the Avada WordPress theme made by ThemeFusion. It is hosted at WPEngine.

During the process of developing this website, I am proud to have learned and greatly strengthened my programming skills in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery. These were skills I learned through the various tweaks and customizations I had to do in order to make this site just the way I intended. It also taught me how to develop for the WordPress platform, which is a great skill to have given the sheer amount of WordPress sites these days.

For those who are curious as to which aspects of this site were my customizations, here’s a running list, along with the major programming languages/platforms used:

I’m not sure what you mean. This is my personal site; I’m not making money off of anyone for creating it.

I currently don’t sell logos, but I guess I could. For now, I’ll just use the Khan Academy logo requests as an opportunity to practice.

Hey Darryl! I hope it’s everything good with you. I wanna ask you what are the plugin that you are using to create the bar that includes social media buttons that stay on the screen as I scrolls down the page. Thank you in advance! Wish you the best!

Hello, Filipe! There are tons of plugins out there that allow you to have floating share buttons. The one I am using is a modified version of Shareaholic‘s share buttons. If you’re looking for something super lightweight, I would suggest Less Buttons.

I have an idea. Could you make a kickstarter campaign for Transcolors? When you’re ready of course. Derek took two years to develop Snatoms before the kickstarter.

Most definitely! I was thinking of doing that.
